Hello,
I have developed a model to simulate slot-die coating. The important parameters that are derived from simulations are breakup and leaking limits. To do so, the volume flow is varied until some defects occur. My question is: Is anybody aware of a method in OpenFOAM (interFoam), that enables the change of input parameters (basically the velocity boundary conditions) in some more efficient way than doing 200 simulations at once and compare the data afterwards, and see at which point there is some mechanism taking place? more generael formulation: i am looking for a way to calculate the value of the velocity boundary condition at the inlet by specifying the position of a fraction of the interface. If this is easier with a steady state, it would be enough to cover a steady state and set the location of the interface as a boundary condition, if that's possible. I am happy to discuss and thanks in advance Alex |
