Hello everyone!
I'm trying to simulate the flow exiting a pipe placed around 3 meters under the sea level. The case is 2D but I'm having some problems with the boundary conditions for the "sea". So far I set: U inlet -> flowRateInletVelocity outlet -> inletOutletVelocity p inlet -> fixedFluxPressure outlet -> zeroGradient alpha inlet -> fixedValue ... value 1 outlet -> variableHeightFlowRate With those B.Cs the simulation diverges and I can't figure out what to change to make it works... Do you have any guess or tip? Thank you in advance |

You do not specify the pressure with your boundary conditions. Somewhere you need some kind of fixedValue boundary condition for p (or actually for p_rgh).

Hi and thank you for your quick answer! Actually after some tests I was able to make it work by splitting the outlet patch in two and imposing flowRateOutletVelocity in the water patch!
