Hi,
I'm a master student and I'm preparing my thesis, which topic is settlement of feed particles in aquaculture tanks. As I have just come into contact with this research topic, I do not know the implementation method at present. I looked into the three different methods, which are the following: 1. SediFoam, which provides a coupling between OF and LAMMPS 2. CFDEM, which couples OF and LIGGGHTS (which is based on LAMMPS) 3. DPMFoam, of which I actually don't know whether it would work for my specific problem Now my big questions are the following: 1. Which of the above methods is more suitable for my research? 2. If multiple methods are feasible, which method is easier for beginners of CFD and OpenFoam? Any answers, hints, advice would be very much appreciated. |
