Hi all,
I am trying to calculate transonic flow around the 2D compressor blade. And i'm stuck: solver crashing or solution don't convergence. I tried roSimpleFoam and roPimpleFoam. Are there better solvers for such type of transonic flow? I will also be grateful if someone can share experience in calculating the transonic flow in a compressor using standard OpenFOAM solvers. |

Convergence of rhoS/PimpleFoam is indeed delicate.
We found boundary condition settings crucial. How are you setting boundary conditions for pressure, density and temperature on the inlet and outlet patches? |

Hello, Domenico
Thank you for your reply and a fresh look at the problem. I changed the fixed values BC to total pressure and velocity direction and now everything works. I jast tried to get solution for stall rigion. This is validation case so i will share results when will get. |
