Hello,

I would like to know, whether there is a detailed description of the barycentric particle tracking algorithm used in the OpenFOAM lagrangian library since ~2017. I was not able to find the scientific paper the algorithm is based on online.
Could someone point out to me either the paper or some book that describes the algorithm in detail to me ?

Many thanks in advance

Haven't seen any.
The best source is probably the source codes, particle.H and particle.C:
https://cpp.openfoam.org/v10/particl...ce.html#l00473
https://cpp.openfoam.org/v10/particl...ce.html#l00137

You might want to be the first person to write down a user friendly description, based on reading of the source code. If you do, please post it here.
