Hello everyone,
I want to simulate mixing in a digester using interFoam solver with two incompressible liquids. The geometry consists of an egg-shaped digester with a draft tube at the centre of it (which contains a propeller inside) and an outflow and inflow pipe. I have to simulate as the digester is filled with one fluid (sludge) and one second fluid (water) enter through the inflow pipe into the digester and mix. Furthermore, I have added one extra input of speed from the draft tube (to simulate the effect of the propeller). I’m using SetfieldDict to say that the egg is filled with the sludge. The simulation ends after 0.004. I think I’m doing some mistake when setting the boundary conditions and the SetfieldDicts. I have attached all the case, screenshot of my conceptual model and the geometry. I have run this simulation with one fluid with simpleFoam and it worked properly. I’m new to this and this is part of my master thesis. Can someone guide me a bit? conceptual model.png draftTube_in-outflow pipe.jpg Geometry.jpg SnappyHexMesh.jpg WhatsApp Image 2022-07-14 at 6.58.35 PM.jpeg [URL="https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ujpZjrJ62tJ6Ikezy7qwe8JiF8uTFx6j/view?usp=sharing"] |

No one?
other than using intermixingfoam as the solver? Thank you |
