Dear All,
I doing a test case where I simulate particles travelling along a narrow square duct with a porous baffle (cyclic boundary conditions) located roughly half way between the inlet and outlet using the MPPICFoam solver. (Note I am using OpenFOAM v2112). I have sorted out allot of issues but now I am stuck on the following error/problem when I am run the solver: "failed lookup of turbulenceProperties (objectRegistry region0) available objects of type turbulenceModel: (turbulenceProperties.air)" I have looked at other CFD-online posts but they unfortunately were not of much help in the end. Just a note: The simulation runs when I remove the porous baffle and cyclic boundary conditions and change the faceType (for the cellZone and faceZone setup) in snappyHexMesh from baffle to internal. I have attached my OpenFOAM case files using to two different archive formats for your convenience. I would truly appreciate your input on the matter. Regards, Charl |

Did you solve the problem? I had the same issue.

Hi Eduardo,
I cannot remember if I solved the problem. This was two years ago. In the end that test model and what it was meant for was not needed in the end anymore. But I will look and see if I may have solved it, just a bit caught up in work at the moment. Hopefully, I still have the files I worked on back then. |

Hi Eduardo,
It would seem I did not continue with the testing as it was not required anymore. Hence, I never found a solution to the problem. I wish you all the best with finding a solution. If you do find one would you be so kind as to share it, it would be appreciated. Regards, Charl |
