Dear Foamers,
I want to simulate an open channel flow with simpleFoam. U: inlet: FixedValue outlet:zeroGradient P: inlet: zeroGradient outlet: ??? I added the gravity constant in fvOptions. I am wondering how to set the pressure at the outlet to show the effects of the hydrostatic pressure? I set it to zero and it showed all zero as I expected. In another approach, I calculated the hydrostatic pressure in MATLAB and used those values at the outlet, but it did not converge. Any comments and hints would be appreciated. Please note that I do not want to use buoyantBoussinesqSimpleFoam as it solved the temperature equation which takes longer to solve. Also, I just want to use steady-state not transient case and interFoam. Cheers |
