Hello, I'm trying to run a 2D simulation of a thin flat plate in a single phase fluid (such as air). The plate will start with a certain velocity in the x direction and its motion will be affected by fluid forces acting on it (this part can probably be done with the rigidBodyMotion library and looking at the floatingObject tutorial).
I'd like to control the pitch of the flat plate as it moves through the flow by applying a time dependent external torque, which would combine with the pressure forces to affect the motion of the plate. This torque is not known in advance, and will be calculated with feedback from the current state of the simulation. How could this be achieved in practice? The goal is to be able to have some control over the motion of the plate through time. An alternative would be to control the rotational speed of the airfoil through time, but I'm not sure how to go about this either. Thanks, Adrian |
