I noticed a strong grid orientation dependency while using interFoam with dynamicMeshing. the dynamicMeshing works fine (less initial mesh dependency) when the contact angle is > 40 degree (hydrohil), but deteriate severely when using contact angle close to 5 degree (want to simulation methanol flowing between a thin gap 0.19 mm composed of 2 plates)
following options have been tried so far 1) increasing maxRefinement from 2 to 6 --> no improvement 2) increasing maxCells --> no significant improvement 3) reducing refineInterval from 10 to 5 --> no significant improvement furthermore, i tried to change gradSchemes to pointCellsLeastSquares --> minor improvement but the issue persists. could anybody give me advice what else could be tried to avoid initial mesh dependency in the settings? |
