river_fish is on a distinguished road
Hi everybody,

I'm trying to simulate open channel flow using InterFoam solver. When I set up the case with a simplified geometry (see below), the simulation runs without problem. Now for the real geometry, that includes a bend and a culvert section, the time step immediately diverges and the solution blows up. The boundary conditions for the two cases are identical and checkMesh results only in 1 failure (20 skewfaces) for the second case with complex geometry.

Any idea what possibly went wrong during upscaling?
Thanks a lot for your inputs, very much appreciated!
