Hi all,
I recently encountered porous mean for modeling heat exchangers. Considering a conduit with constant section and a porous mean in the middle of it, it's known that the porous mean introduces a reduction in static pressure. Now, we also know that velocity do not increase and here is the source of my doubts. Known that all the hypothesis are true, Bernoulli theorem is valid and that says that total pressure is constant in the domain but having a pressure drop without an increase in velocity as it happens here means that I lost total pressure. How could I explain this? Is this relatable to pressure loss given by the viscosity of the fluid? If so I should observe an increase in temperature locally, am I right? |
