Hello,
I am modelising waves on a sloped beach using waveFoam solver on openFOAM v2012 but I can't find a way to make it run properly. The Courant number blows up from the very beginning. Code:
Courant Number mean: 760.026 max: 6.86201e+06 Interface Courant Number mean: 0.122699 max: 75619.4 Time = 0.009 PIMPLE: iteration 1 smoothSolver: Solving for alpha.water, Initial residual = 0.982492, Final residual = 9.63911e-09, No Iterations 12 Phase-1 volume fraction = 2.85527e+13 Min(alpha.water) = -3.91934e+21 Max(alpha.water) = 1.04748e+21 MULES: Correcting alpha.water Phase-1 volume fraction = 3.01493e+13 Min(alpha.water) = -3.31135e+33 Max(alpha.water) = 4.28531e+33 Relaxing time: 0.01 s GAMG: Solving for p_rgh, Initial residual = 0.0638373, Final residual = 1.87173e+114, No Iterations 1000 #0 Foam::error::printStack(Foam::Ostream&) at ??:? #1 Foam::sigFpe::sigHandler(int) at ??:? #2 ? in /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libpthread.so.0 #3 Foam::GAMGSolver::scale(Foam::Field<double>&, Foam::Field<double>&, Foam::lduMatrix const&, Foam::FieldField<Foam::Field, double> const&, Foam::UPtrList<Foam::lduInterfaceField const> const&, Foam::Field<double> const&, unsigned char) const at ??:? #4 Foam::GAMGSolver::Vcycle(Foam::PtrList<Foam::lduMatrix::smoother> const&, Foam::Field<double>&, Foam::Field<double> const&, Foam::Field<double>&, Foam::Field<double>&, Foam::Field<double>&, Foam::Field<double>&, Foam::Field<double>&, Foam::PtrList<Foam::Field<double> >&, Foam::PtrList<Foam::Field<double> >&, unsigned char) const at ??:? #5 Foam::GAMGSolver::solve(Foam::Field<double>&, Foam::Field<double> const&, unsigned char) const at ??:? #6 Foam::fvMatrix<double>::solveSegregated(Foam::dictionary const&) at ??:? #7 Foam::fvMatrix<double>::solveSegregatedOrCoupled(Foam::dictionary const&) at ??:? #8 Foam::fvMesh::solve(Foam::fvMatrix<double>&, Foam::dictionary const&) const at ??:? #9 main in ~/OpenFOAM/hayoun-v2012/platforms/linux64GccDPInt32Opt/bin/waveFoam #10 __libc_start_main in /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libc.so.6 #11 ? in ~/OpenFOAM/hayoun-v2012/platforms/linux64GccDPInt32Opt/bin/waveFoam Floating point exception (core dumped) You will find attached my case that you can run with Code:
