Hello everyone

I am trying to run an airfoil simulation in OpenFoam v8, the geometry was created and meshed in salome.
The checkMesh output from the terminal is attached as an image below.
checkMesh.png

Trying to run the base case as it is, changing the solver to kEpsilon and boundary values accordingly. The stock case gives the error output in the Error_1 image.
Error_1.jpg

After changing the initial values accordingly to match the kEpsilon model, for this k=0.195 and epsilon = 0.554, nut=1e-6, executing simpleFoam did move forward to the second iteration at least. Still, the errors stop the simulation as can be seen in the Error_2 image below.
Error_2.jpg

It should be noted, that when I change the simulationType to laminar in the momentumProperties and leave the model as kEpsilon, the simulation runs without any errors.

What other parameters should I look at to resolve this error?
This is a RAS incompressible simulation I am attempting.

Thank you in advance

Your mesh check has an error and a warning. You should first remove at least the error.

I know, I am still trying to see what is wrong with it.
But given the laminar simulation runs, I find it strange as to why RAS does not run.

The epsilon equation is quite sensitive to BC's, so if there are geometric problems you can have errors as you find. I suggest you, as @piu58 said, to check first the mesh.

Refined the mesh in certain areas, this is the output now from checkMesh checkMesh_2.png

Unfortunately, when running the simulation the error still persists, Error_3.jpg.

The values are still as stated above. Not sure what else to change.

It seems your solver has problems with turbulent kinetic energy. I recommend checking the b.c. for k and epsilon.
