Hello everyone,
I'm trying to run a two-phase (continuous - dispersed) flow inside a cylindrical tube (d = 0.004 m) where the dispersed particles are very small (Dp = 7.2e-6). The problem arises when the fixedValue(0 0 0.2) bc is assigned for the inlet patch, whereas it works fine if I use pressureInletVelocity bc by the twoPhaseEulerFoam solver. The pressureInletVelocity looks for the fluxes and patch area in order to calculate the inflow velocity which works fine if one looks for constant inlet velocity. But if one needs to use a time-varying tabular inlet velocity, the uniform extension of fixedValue bc (uniformFixedValue(V(t)) seems inevitable. However, I'm curious to know if the problem of implementing of fixedValue inflow with some very small particles has a real physical description. I just post a picture shortly describing my efforts for two cases. Thanks Hamed Last edited by Hamed1117; June 17, 2021 at 21:04. |
