Hi, you beautiful foamers!
I'm pretty new to OpenFoam, but I've created a scenario where a ship is about to enter a lock. I made geometry files by using Blender, snappied them using the SnappyHexMesh Gui Addon on Blender and exported geometries to STL. My simulation is set up as: * Environment: Openfoam v2012. * Multiphase simulation air, water. * Move a ship by using solidBodyMotionFunctions::linearMotion at a low forward speed. * The ship is moved through the lock for 200 meters. * Depth profile in lock is varying. * Solver: Interfoam. * When I set a correct value for Location in Mesh the water and air looks as it should in paraView. I can log the forces, even though they look quite awkward. They don't make any sense. I can find the location of the moving hull by doing a speed*time. But how can I actually log it through OpenFoam? Thank you for helping me out. Have a nice day, Ann Beate |
