Hi all!
I am currently working in a rotating body for my thesis currently working with k-epsilon with pimpleFoam. We are interested in performing Large Eddy Simulation on the body. I saw an old post (2014) that said that LES does not work on dynamic meshes, but to anyone's knowledge, has this been changed with newer OpenFOAM versions? If anyone could let me know I would greatly appreciate it! Also what is the best LES model to begin testing the solver? Thanks in advance, all! |

Hi,
Long ago I tried LES with sliding mesh approach for an airfoil simulation. High AOA results were not so good, but it was consistent with the reference data in general. I would suggest WALE or dynamic Smag. models. But you could try one-equation model or its dynamic variant. Bests, syavash |
