Hello !
I will explain my situation. I'm a beginner in OpenFOAM but i would like to create a simple case which is a rectangular parallelepiped(1m *15cm*15cm or in 2D 1m*15cm), four faces are closed and the two squares are openned. I think i have succed to create the mesh thanks to the cavity tutorial, (but i'm not really sure, espacially about the boundary conditions).

But now i really don't know which solver should i use, I would like to simulate the winds which is going through the tube at a speed of 15m/s (an incompressible and turbulent flow.

I'have also noticed that the version of OpenFOAM might create problems. I use the version 20.06 of OpenFOAM.

Could you please give me some advices about :

-The boundary conditions (what means inlet, outlet etc...),
-Which solver should i use for this kind of simulation (simplefoam, icofoam, etc...)?

-Which tutoriel is the closer of my situation?
-Where should i go to change the parameters (speed or pression, it is the 0 folder?)?

I'm sorry if my english is bad, i'm a french student.
Thank you in advance for helping me .

Wish i could help with my comment,

-First, for the boundary conditions you have to change the 0 files in order to match the names on boundary conditions file of polymesh paste (is located on constant)
-After this i think the conditions depends on if you want walls influence on the flow or not, if thats the case you have very functions like (slip, noSlip, wallfunctions), you have to search on OpenFOAM dictionaries
-almost all the cavities cases are good for you case, so there are a lot of solvers that you can use.
-last, you have to know if you want to see turbulence or not, in the case you want to see turbelence, search for RAS or LES cases in cavities but if you want a specific case and it doesnt have the correct turbulence model, change it on turbulence properteis.

I wish i was usefull

Before diving into solving problems with OpenFOAM, I would spend few days on the following links to train my skills and knowledge.

Otherwise, please look at the turbulent flat plate tutorial (which sounds to me the most similar one to your case): https://develop.openfoam.com/Develop...ulentFlatPlate
