interFoam case mesh with baffles crushed

Dear collegues
I solved the problem draining tank with baffles ( baffles installed for prevent liquid rotation ) with interFoam (OpenFOAM 2006). Boundary conditions: Totalpressure at the upper boundary, volume flow rateat the lower boundary, the rest of the boundary is the wall. The calculation on a mesh without baffles was successful for grids built in ANSYS Fluent Meshing and snappyHexMesh, but for geometry with baffles, a divergent solution is obtained, the velocity increases to 100 m / s, the pressure varies from -5 ^ -10 to 500,000 Pa and he calculation time of one timestep increases dramatically in time for meshes built in ANSYS Fluent Meshing and snappyHexMesh with double-sided baffle surfaces. Fluent mesh with baffles converted as in Thin Walls Conversion from Fluent Mesh fluent3DMeshToFoam with baffles as “internal” + createBaffles give bad result too. snappyHexMesh generate mesh with settings: snappyHexMesh + snappyHexMeshDict->geometry->baffles + createBafflesDict, create double-sided wall (baffle_master and baffle_slave) Simulation with mesh converted by fluent3DMeshToFoam and baffles as “wall” give mesh with one-sided wall and works good some seconds of physical time, then failed abruptly. What wrong in this settings? Need I additional work with meshes or it OpenFOAM bug? |
