Hi, I am totally new to CFD. Trying to start.

I've installed OF8. Copied DTCHull to my home workarea and run ./Allrun
It is running already for couple of hours

Output is still

Running interFoam in parallel on /home/mark/OpenFOAM/mark-8/run/DTCHull using 8 processes

How much time it needs to fully process DTCHull?

thanks,
Mark

Hi, Mark!

It depends by the performance of your computer and quality of mesh and time steps. It's maybe 8 hours or week. Running in parallel is useless if your computer has few cores.

With best regards,
Serge

Hi Mark,

In addition to Serge's post, you can check the log.interFoam file to see how the simulation is going.

Cheers,
Yann
