Hello foamers.
I am doing a project on Electrostatic Spray Painting (ESP) in OpenFOAM using a solver called electrostaticSprayFoam which is a modified version of the original sprayFoam solver (just an extra electrostatic force is added, everything else remaining same). I have chosen a paper for my validation purpose and it would be helpful if any one helps me how to setup the case in accordance with the paper (the link of which I have attached below) and answers some of the pertinent questions. http://www.ilass.org/2/conferencepap...r%20M2-B-3.pdf The questions are: 1)In the paper, they have done a steady state simulation. I have seen some Lagrangian steady state tutorials available in OpenFOAM-6 but the lagrangian cloud info. is not available for these simulations. So what should I do? 2)What injection model should I use. In the paper, no info. about the spray angle, injection velocity and other relevant stuff are given. 3)In the paper, the bell is rotating with a specified omega for which I have to apply a rotating mesh using dynamicMeshDict. If I do so, then what relevant forces (like SRF, nonInertialFrameForce etc.) should I include? 4)How can I visualise the parcel trajectories as given in figure 15 of the paper? 5)About the suface-film, what type of interaction (absorb, splash, rebound) should I use? PS: I could not attach the paper because of its large size and only attached the link. |
