I am trying to do a conjugate heat transfer simulation with periodic boundary conditions in the x & y directions. I am using cyclicAMI boundary condition because the periodic faces are not conformal.
I am using meanVelocityForce from fvOptions to drive the flow. The simulation runs but the velocity starts decreasing every iteration and eventually reaches a very low value (order of 10^-12). I did some digging around and found that the meanVelocityFore can be used only for incompressible flows, but over in this place it says it can be added to compressible momentum equation also. I would like to know if I can use meanVelocityForce along with chtMultiRegionFoam or chtMultiRegionSimpleFoam. If I can not use it, is there any other way I can direct the flow for periodic boundary conditions in the x & y directions. |
