Hi all,
I am trying to use pimpleFoam to simulate the flow dynamics in the left atrium (LA) of the heart. I have successfully implemented time-dependent simulation with rigid LA walls, where I import the volume mesh from ICEM and prescribe time-dependent velocity values at the boundaries from a custom-generated TableFile. Now I am trying to implement some sort of expansion and the contraction of the heart in my model to mimic the dynamic movement of the entire LA. I have looked at a bunch of examples and it seems like dynamicMeshDict might do the trick, but all the examples have some sort of rigid body motion in the simulation. I need a function with a prescribed dynamic oscillatory movement of the LA volume over time to simulate one-way coupling of the LA wall movement on the flow dynamics. Is there a way in OF dynamicMeshDict that could directly impose the moving mesh condition without manually meshing the geometry at each time-step? Any help is much appreciated! Also, please let me know if you need to see any of my simulation files. TIA!!! |
