Dear all,
I am working on a weak coupling between an inHouse FEM solver (dedicated to metal forming) and foam-extend-4-1(-0). I would like to utilize the IB method in order to move the interface between oil and metal. My oils are compressible and thus I need a compressible solver. Does anyone has experience with implementing the IB method in compressible openFOAM/foam-extend solvers and knows whether or not some are suitable and some aren't? I need a transient, compressible, laminar flow solver. I attached two images with sketches of what I am roughly doing. I know it does not look like something which is very fluid-dynamic but the first test (image 1) is essentially the validation for compressibility and the second one the actual case with the flow. Thank you for your help in advance! Best Max |
