I am new to OpenFoam and would like to do the numerical simulation of flow over the cylinder. I would like to use synthetic jets on the cylinder where I can specify the mass flow rate and velocity profile of the flow. The purpose of these synthetic jet is to reduce the drag using some control strategy. Is there any tutorial or paper that I can refer to for creating artificial synthetic jets? I could not find how to create synthetic jets in the documentation. I have attached the illustrative figure in which I would like to specify the jet at red lines.

Thank you.
