skodali is on a distinguished road
I've been going at this for weeks now, and it's just frustrating at this point, I've remeshed it 3 times, and tried every conceivable combination of simulation parameters, and the forces just continue to shoot off to infinity with no rhyme or reason.

Anyway, if someone can take a look and possibly point out something it could be, I would really appreciate it.

Here is the geometry, I'm using a cylinder "wind tunnel" right now, but I originally was using a square cross-section, remeshed that. I optimize it in gmsh. See this post for how I was originally able to convert from gmsh to openFoam: Gmsh trouble converting to openFOAM?

When I try to run it using just simpleFoam, I don't see any residuals shooting off to inifity, it's just that the force coeffs and general timestep continuity starts to shoot off as well: https://i.imgur.com/QpsWXmR.png

Similar thing happens, but happens sooner when I run potentialFoam first: https://i.imgur.com/FSnCf5y.png

Here are all the initial condition files: https://imgur.com/a/u93VaAU

Relavent system files: https://imgur.com/a/gcKRr2k

Any help would be really appreciated because at this point, I'm about ready to give up on openFoam.

klausb will become famous soon enough
Hi,

what do you try to simulate?
What's the Reynolds number?
Did you update the turbulence properties?
Do you have a good boundary layer mesh with appropriate y+ ?
Can you show the residual plot using pyFoam?
I assume you tried to modify the simpleFoam motorBike case?
