hello,
I have geometries with a periodic section in the middle, and I was looking at the cyclic boundary to simplify the calculations, but each time I have found the application of the cyclic boundary condition between the inlet and the outlet directly. I wanted to know if people are using this boundary condition with internal patches to make only part of the geometry periodic. scheme of what I have seen from the forum about this condition (for example for a tube pipe): what I am thinking (for example for a tube pipe with different geometry in the inlet and in the outlet): I want to use this workflow for steady-state sim in laminar flow (simpleFoam) and for transient scalar transport (scalarTransportFoam). best regards. |
