Hello foamers,

I need to perform a convective-diffusive transient problem on the chtMultiRegionFoam, with air as fluid and concrete and carbon steel as solids.

As a example, the specific heat of carbon steel is given by:

from 20ºC to 600°C:
Cp = 425 + 7.73e-01*T - 1.69e-03*T² + 2.22e-06*T³

from 600ºC to 735ºC:
Cp = 666 + 13002/(738 - T)

from 735ºC to 900ºC:
Cp = 545 + 17820/(T - 731)

from 900ºC to 1200ºC:
Cp = 650

Cp is given in J/(kg*K).

The other thermophysical properties of the carbon steel and concrete that I want to simulate are described on this master thesis, and I kindly encourage to see: http://hdl.handle.net/10198/19239, item nº. 4.1 (Is written in portuguese).

How do I specify different equations to different temperature ranges in the thermophysicalProperties OpenFOAM file, as the example I give?

Is that any other way to perform it?

Thanks in advance.
