Hi,
I need to simulate an airfoil with rotating flap. Being a novice in moving meshes in OF, I'm not sure what's the best approach. My final objective is to extrude the airfoil to be a wing in 3D. However, now I am trying in 2D 1st. I saw a way to mesh the airfoil over here: Oscillating Airfoil and Independently Oscillating Flap Seems like the flap can rotate using dynamic mesh / AMI. Is this a good way or is there a better mtd? Also, how should I deform the mesh? What type of solver for dynamic mesh should I use? Should it be sixDoFRigidBodyMotion or displacementLaplacian? I'm also confused with dynamic mesh and AMI. Is AMI a subset of dynamic mesh? How are they related? Thanks! |
