Hey,
I have a case with natural convection and for better undestanding I wanted to start with a simple Testcase. My idea was to look at a cube where four sides are inlets, one is an outlet and one heated wall. For my understanding the wall should heat up the air near to it and create an outflow and an inflow by this. I managed to set it up but I have no idea how to select the right BCs for U, p and p_rgh. The tutorial cases with free convection usually have walls everywhere around it. But my main aim is to create flows at the inlet/outlet boundaries by the natural convection. Can anyone help me with setting up the BCs? Best wishes Nik |

your case looks little bit complex,
why don't you first start with a simple tutorial case and adjust it step by step? you can check after one step if the solver is running. as of BC for inlets, you can use fixedvalues velocities and for your outlet pressureInletOutlet velocity. for p_rgh set fixedValue for outlet and fixedFluxPressure for inlets. for p use calculated. |
