I am trying to run various tutorials (newbie) in OpenFoam. I was able to run few of them but the following: Incompressible/nonNewtonianIcoFoam/offsetCylinder gives me an error.
I successfully ran blockMesh and checkMesh commands but when I type icoFoam it gives me an error: FOAM FATAL IO ERROR: keyword nu is undefined in dictionary "/root/OpenFOAM/root-7/run/nonNewtonianIcoFoam/offsetCylinder/constant/transportProperties" file: /root/OpenFOAM/root-7/run/nonNewtonianIcoFoam/offsetCylinder/constant/transportProperties from line 18 to line 33. From function const Foam::entry& Foam::dictionary::lookupEntry(const Foam::word&, bool, bool) const in file db/dictionary/dictionary.C at line 573. Am i missing any files in the tutorial folder. The current offsetCylinder folder contains 3 subfolders(0, constant and system) and 0 files. Each of these subfolders contain all the necessary files. Does this tutorial have a bug? |

Sorry this issue is fixed. I was using the wrong solver (noob mistake).
I used the nonNewtonianicoFoam and that fixed it for me |
