Hello all,
I am looking for a way to simulate the removal of a certain amount of thermal power from one side of a loop using the buoyantBoussinesqPimpleFoam solver. The loop represents a segment of the larger system, with one side featuring a heat source and the other representing a heat exchanger and pump (already modelled using a momentum source on a defined cellzone in the loop). Currently the power removal is modelled by excluding most of the heat exchanger side of the loop, and using inlet and outlet boundary conditions on patches to simulate the heat removal by defining inlet temperature. This is rather crude, and can cause some problems in other, coupled, simulations. How can I introduce the heat sink more elegantly and using the closed loop? Many thanks, Alex |
