Hi there,
is it possible to set the internalfield with nonuniform values, for example I want to set the internalfield for pressure with pressure values which variing inside the domain (over height).So more or less to set a profile (height vs pressure) as the internalfield for pressure like this: internalField nonuniform List<scalar> 27 ( 0 101300 10 101173 50 100669 100 100042 150 99420 200 98801 250 98186 300 97574 350 96967 400 96363 450 95764 500 95167 600 93986 700 92820 800 91668 900 90530 1000 89407 1200 87201 1400 85050 1600 82952 1800 80906 ) ; But this does not work, here OF complains that not all (Millions) of cells are filled. Any idea how to do this, if possible? |

Yes, I'm sure there are many possible ways, but the first thing I thought of is funkySetFields : https://openfoamwiki.net/index.php/C...Foam#Utilities.

Dear Caelan,
thanks for your help, but I think funkysetfields isn't suitable because how can you apply the Pressure profile for the complete domain by using this tool? But maby you can show me by an example? Best regards, Chris |

With funkySetFields you can set initialize the field with values calculated with an arbitrary expression -- is this not what you want? There are plenty of examples online.
