Hello foamers,
This is my first time customizing a solver, so if my question has obvious answers, I apologize in advance. I'm adapting the simpleFoam solver to include a body force on the momentum equation, so I did all the procedures to compile a custom solver, and everything happened well. However when I started a test-simulation to evaluate the accuracy of the solver to compare with analytic results for a simple laminar steady-state flow in a rectangular shaped-brick, the results didnt go well. I've attached the log file from the simulation, and I wonder if you guys could help me with it. I have checked the boundary conditions and found nothing wrong (I also used the conventional simpleFoam for a check-simulation to see if it was a problem with the mesh, and it ran smoothly), and I proceeded with an dimensional analysis for the added term on the right side of the continuity equation and the results are solid. The error in the log file: #0 Foam::error:rintStack(Foam::Ostream&) at ??:? #1 Foam::sigFpe::sigHandler(int) at ??:? #2 ? in "/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libc.so.6" #3 Foam::GAMGSolver::scale(Foam::Field<double>&, Foam::Field<double>&, Foam::lduMatrix const&, Foam::FieldField<Foam::Field, double> const&, Foam::UPtrList<Foam::lduInterfaceField const> const&, Foam::Field<double> const&, unsigned char) const at ??:? #4 Foam::GAMGSolver::Vcycle(Foam::PtrList<Foam::lduMa trix::smoother> const&, Foam::Field<double>&, Foam::Field<double> const&, Foam::Field<double>&, Foam::Field<double>&, Foam::Field<double>&, Foam::Field<double>&, Foam::Field<double>&, Foam::PtrList<Foam::Field<double> >&, Foam::PtrList<Foam::Field<double> >&, unsigned char) const at ??:? #5 Foam::GAMGSolver::solve(Foam::Field<double>&, Foam::Field<double> const&, unsigned char) const at ??:? #6 Foam::fvMatrix<double>::solveSegregated(Foam::dict ionary const&) at ??:? #7 Foam::fvMatrix<double>::solve(Foam::dictionary const&) in "/opt/openfoam5/platforms/linux64GccDPInt32Opt/bin/simpleFoamCorrected" #8 Foam::fvMatrix<double>::solve() in "/opt/openfoam5/platforms/linux64GccDPInt32Opt/bin/simpleFoamCorrected" #9 ? in "/opt/openfoam5/platforms/linux64GccDPInt32Opt/bin/simpleFoamCorrected" #10 __libc_start_main in "/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libc.so.6" #11 ? in "/opt/openfoam5/platforms/linux64GccDPInt32Opt/bin/simpleFoamCorrected" Floating point exception (core dumped) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thanks in advance! |
