I am solving flow through pipe. I have three patches of wall as WALL1,WALL2,HEATED WALL.
I am giving no slip boundary condition in U file, but at time of decomposePar command it shows below error Cannot find 'value' entry on patch WALL1 of field U in file "/home/vortex/OpenFOAM/vortex-3.0.1/run/PIPE/Trial1/0/U" which is required to set the values of the generic patch field. (Actual type noSlip) |

I assume you use OpenFOAM 3.0.1 from your post. In OpenFOAM 3.0.1, you need to define the no-slip BC by fixedValue and type uniform (0 0 0).

To add to PositronCascade, your pressure would also have to be set to zeroGradient on a wall
