Hi to all,
I come to you today seeking for help. I am trying to simulate a lean premixed air/methane reaction using reactingFoam. For some time and computer resource restrictions I am only using the global reaction. The simulation runs fine but when I check the result on paraview it seems to me that there is no reaction. What I mean is that when I check the mass fraction of any specie it doesn't change with time. As a combustion model I am using: EDC.(I also tried with PaSR but had the same result). As a turbulence model I am using: kEpsilon. For ignition I am using the method in /Lagrangian/coaChemistryFoam/smplifiedSiwek/ tutorial. I am not an expert; I am actually a relatively new user of openFoam. I've just changed location duration and radius to make the ignition fit my problem. I would really appreciate your help with this problem and I don't know what additional information is relevant(I think everything is relevant)so please tell me to upload any file you think is important. Thank you all. |

Any suggestions?
I am sorry to insist, but I really need this simulation for my thesis and I am kind of stuck. I've been turning in circles for the last week. I am adding some information (mesh, checkMesh log file, topoSet and fvOptions) that I hope will be helpful. The mass fraction of the methane in the lean air/fuel mixture is 0.044, for oxygen it is 0.22 and for nitrogen it's 0.73. I hope I provided you with good information and I am really waiting for your answers. Thank you in advance. |
