Hi all,
I am using turbulentdfsem boundary condition in LES pimpleFoam. I had experimental wind tunnel data for two velocity components ( u and w). I could get an matching velocity profile from the simulation with the experimental data. But the reynolds stresses are very low. I tried to calculate using UPrime2Mean and also by postProcess -func R. Both are not matching with experimental data. Since I had only two velocity components, I could calculate only three reynolds stress components(uu, ww and uw). The remaining I considered as 0.5. Does it affect the simulation values of reynolds stresses.? But I could get almost a very good velocity profile. Does anyone have similar problem with turbulentDFSEM.? and is UPrime2Mean at the last stable time step can be considered as the reynolds stresses.? or something else should be done to calculate reynolds stresses. |
