Hi all,
I'm running a case using SRFSimpleFOAM on a rotating hydrofoil in a 1/3 cylinder domain (with cyclic conditions to form a 3 bladed turbine). When I run this case, after about 20 timesteps it fails and viewing the results shows that pressures become huge and highly discontinuous. I'm struggling to diagnose the problem, whether it is my mesh (made in Pointwise) or how I'm intialising the case. To try and rectify the problem I've tried improving my mesh quality, although I still don't know if it's good enough. I've also reduced my relaxation factors, turned off turbulence, and increased tolerances (for now) to try and at least get some kind of stable solution, but with no luck. I'll share a link to my case files, and if anyone could take a look and see if/where I've made a mistake or could suggest changes to help my case run, I would be really grateful. Thanks, Kieran Case: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1Ed...6o_lrO5RbrSkzI Example of huge pressures: pressure.jpg Overview of system: overview2.jpg |
