Good day to you!
I'm having some issues getting viable results from my OpenFOAM case. I'm simulating a curved Hydrofoil wing that is partially submerged in water and going at a speed of 45km/h or 12.5m/s. To get a readout on the forces i'm using the forces function in the control dict. However when my simulation gets to timestep 2000 it's already giving me forces in the range of 4*10^30N which couldn't possibly be correct. Someone working on a similar project before me gave me his case files to work with and i think i adjusted all values that changed. He told me to lower the MaxCo number in case the case keeps diverging. So far going from 0.9 to 0.75 hasn't helped however. Does anyone have a good idea what could be causing this or how i could find out what's the cause? I'm a bit lost at the moment. If posting specific case files helps please let me know i don't want to spam this post with every file in the system, constant and 0 folders. kind regards and thanks in advance! Florian |
