Hello,
has anyone experience using Windows Subsystem for Linux with OpenFOAM as a Cluster? I have the following idea: We have a lot of CAD Machines with good power and i want to use them with OpenMPI and OpenFOAM to solve large studies. Since there is a Ubuntu in Windows 10 (Windows Subsystem for Linux), i thought i might use them for parallel running. So i have to install OpenFOAM, ssh, configure the /etc/hosts, configure the casesetup and i need to be able to connect to the machines per remote. I found out that Windows Subsystem for Linux and Windows using shared IP adresses, so that might be an issue. Any other recommendations/experiences? |

Hello,
here's what i got so far: I installed Windows Subsystem for Linux (Ubuntu 18.04) and i reconfigured SSH. I installed OpenFOAM and i edited my ~/.bashrc. I changed the SSH-Port from 22 to 2222 because otherwise i couldn't connect to it. Does anyone know how to tell OpenMPI to use Port 2222 and not 22 to connect via SSH to my remote machine? |
