Hi All,
Relatively new to FOAM - I have a scenario using reactingFoam in which I have set up a mass source at an injection location. I have prescribed the mass flow rate and momentum at this location, but do not know how to prescribe the temperature of the inflowing mass. I ran a test ignoring temperature, and as expected, the temperature within my domain plummeted due to the inflowing mass lacking any energy. Is there a simple way to prescribe the temperature of the inflowing source? Or, do I need to prescribe this is another way, e.g., as a separate heat source at the same location? My code in fvOptions.. Code:
massSource1 { type scalarSemiImplicitSource; scalarSemiImplicitSourceCoeffs { $injector1; volumeMode absolute; injectionRateSuSp { rho (0.31397 0); // kg/s Chemical1 (0.31397 0); // kg/s } } } momentumSource1 { type vectorSemiImplicitSource; vectorSemiImplicitSourceCoeffs { $injector1; volumeMode absolute; injectionRateSuSp { U ((0 -44.64 0) 0); // kg*m/s^2 } } } |

Have you tried using an energy source at the same location? It would be a simple addition of h with some value to your scalarSemiImplicitSource. For reference, check out this tutorial -- It looks like it's doing the same thing :
