Hi

I am modeling a 2D steady state impingement jet hot air flow, with the buoyantBoussinesqSimpleFoam solver in order to calculate the heat transfer between the hot air and 2 different B.C.:

1) Fixed wall B.C.
2) Moving wall B.C.

See the attached sketch for the geometry setup.

Is the 2nd B.C. a possibility, as I wish to investigate the effects on the flow and thus heat transfer due to the wall motion?

Kind regards!

Yes, the second is a possibility. Simply set the wall velocity to a non-zero fixed value (as opposed to noSlip or a zero fixed value for a stationary wall).
