Hello everyone, I'm Rodrigo,
This is my first intervention in the forum. I'm doing compressible flow simulations, Fanno flow with Ansys, and I need to do the same with OpenFoam software. I really do not know what solver, or how to start using it, could you please help me? Thank you very much. |

Hi Rodrigo,
I suggest you to look at the tutorials. If you have installed OF v5 properly you can directly type in your terminal "tut" and you are in: "/opt/openfoam5/tutorials" For your case I will start to study an incompressible steady state case (solver: "simpleFoam") like for example: "/opt/openfoam5/tutorials/incompressible/simpleFoam/pitzDaily" Afterwards you can study compressible steady state cases, because for you I guess "rhoSimpleFoam" is the solver you need. Regards. |

Thank you very much for your answer,
I started doing all the tutorials. I used the recommended solver, my biggest problem (in all my simulations with OpenFoam) is to correctly set the boundary conditions. Please, I need a lot of help. Attached image of the case that I am trying to simulate. Thank you. |
