Hello there,
as I am fairly new to the forum I hope that this is not a too easy question, but I have been stuck on this for a while now. Basically, I am simulating a liquid drop injection into slowly moving air. The air has a temperature of 295 K and the injected droplets only 285 K. I expect that this difference slowly vanishes as the droplets proceed. But, instead my particles (especially the small ones) heat up to over 350 K. Also Cp should be in the range of 1200 but the hot droplets have a Cp value of over 2100. I am using OpenFOAM-5-dev, sprayFoam, and the RanzMarshall heatTransferModel. When I turn the heatTransferModel off, the droplet temperature stays constant at 285K. Thank you very much for any hint in the right direction or ideas on how to solve this ? |
