Hi everyone,
I'm doing a project in college with OpenFoam5.0 about cargo ship and I need to calculate the ship's drag, but I'm can't find where put the function. I'd like to know where (what folder) I put the drag function to realize the calculates. I'm using the solver DTCHull from tutorials InterFoam |

Forces can be calculated with the "forces" and the typical drag and lift coefficients with the "force coefficients" function object. See for example this documentation:
https://www.openfoam.com/documentati...es-forces.html https://www.openfoam.com/documentati...ce-coeffs.html These function objects should exist in any openfoam version. Just add it in your controlDict and the results will be written in the log file as well as in a seperate file if you wish. |
