Dear all of Foamers,
I did the simulation for propeller case in MRF method, The simulation was done with the post-processing folder and result. From the folder, I found the forces.dat and I tried to open in Excel, and the file will appear like this; Time total_x total_y total_z pressure_x pressure_y pressure_z viscous_x viscous_y viscous_z 3.11E+03 5.90E-03 1.16E-02 -1.49E-01 5.63E-03 1.17E-02 -1.53E-01 2.67E-04 -4.78E-05 4.61E-03 The Question is: How to calculate the force? my propeller direction is on the Z axis. I suggest I should calculate the Force = total z + pressure z + viscous z Is that true? need the help, Thanks a lot. Aldi |

Hi,
No. Total=pressure+viscous. So you just need the total force. Regards, Tom |
