I wrote: buoyantBoussinesqPimpleFoam -listScalarBCs buoyantSimpleFoam -listScalarBCs buoyantPimpleFoam -listScalarBCs None of those lists have turbulentHeatFluxTemperature or compressible::turbulentHeatFluxTemperature Additionally I tried to run codes using the mentioned solvers, and : unknown patchfield type turbulentHeatFluxTemperature for patch type wall My openfoam version is v1712. ( the one used on windows 8 with docker) What im trying to do: What I want to do is simulate a heating circuit in a wall, by directly setting the heat flux as an input. I am assuming q = Voltage^2/Resistance/Area = known value. And im assuming all the heat goes into my model, a box filled with water Alternatives used I also tried using fixedGradient , assuming q = h*(Tgradient) , and assuming h as that of water ( my fluid), but I dont know if openfoam is using the same h. Basically I said : q = 700W/m^2 , hg ~ 150.38 -> Tgrad ~4.6 . When I viewed my simulation in paraview, the average temperature does not increase almost anything over time , even if I set a gradient of 2000K. This was compared to an analytical solution of average temperature, so I know it is wrong. Also, the model is a box at 298K initially. A cold wall stays at 298K, another is a heat inlet ( the boundary I wish to set), and the rest adiabatic. When viewed in paraview, initially the only "hot" zone is the inlet, but later on the inlet is at the same temperature as the interior, and thats silly, because it should have a gradient. Attached images are the initial and final states of the temperature field Any help will be deeply appreciated |
