Good Morning Foamers,
I have some trouble simulating compressible flow through an s-duct, where the mass flow outlet represents an engine. For any reason, vortices appear at the outlet (see Attachment) and I have no idea where this comes from. Maybe backflow? I am using rhoSimpleFoam with a k-omega-SST turbulence model I am grateful for any advice... Best regards, Oli Boundary conditions: U: farfield { type freestream; value uniform ( 0.0 0.0 0.0 ); freestreamValue uniform ( 0.0 0.0 0.0 ); } duct { type noSlip; } outlet { type flowRateInletVelocity; value uniform ( 0.0 0.0 0.0 ); massFlowRate constant -6.82; } ___________ P: farfield { type totalPressure; p0 uniform 100000.0; value uniform 1e5; gamma 1.0; } duct { type zeroGradient; } outlet { type zeroGradient; } ___________ T: farfield { type fixedValue; value uniform 300; } duct { type fixedValue; value uniform 300; } outlet { type zeroGradient; } |

Hi,
I am getting the same issue in my simulations. I use twoLiquidMixingFoam solver. Please let me know if you solved the problem. Thanks. |
