Dear All

I am using the compressibleInterDyMFoam (OpenFOAM v5.x) solver and found that I get a wrong mass when compressing a simple block. In fact the density does not change. I have just one single phase, air in this test case. I compared the simple setup of a compressed block with rhoPimpleDyFoam and there I get correct results for mass, density, pressure, etc.

Does anyone have had simlar problems with this solver? Or any idea where the problem comes from?

I found also that this problem was mentioned in earlier version of OF, but I am not sure if it is related to the one I m facing with OF 5.x:

Mass conservation problem with compressibleInterDyMFoam

Any help would be highly appreciated
regards Adrian
