Dear FOAMers,
I am currently testing different turbulence models for a simulation with a mesh, which has no consistent boundary layer (y+ varying from 5 to 60 over the whole geometry), therefore I am using wallfunctions, which are suitable both for low re and high re areas. As an one-equation model, spalart-allmaras model gives me very good results. But my question is: Is it correct to use nutUSpaldingWallFunction as a boundary condition for my walls in the nuTilda file? Or do I have to set fixedValue = 0 like in the airfoil2D tutorial? I found both ways in different publications, so I am a Little bit confused and hope you can help me. Best regards |
